HARRISBURG, NC – Offer a full breakfast and the multitudes will come. Hosted by the Men’s and Women’s Ministries of Bellefonte Presbyterian Church USA, the 3rd Annual Prayer Breakfast invited an intergenerational, mixed denominational event to teach and heal.
The Prayer Breakfast gives members and guests an opportunity to mix, mingle, and enjoy conversation over a full course breakfast cooked by members of the Men’s Ministry and served by the Women’s Ministry. Providing five meats, grits, eggs and more, the breakfast is always a big hit, and offers education to help and heal through a variety of Discussion and Prayer Groups.
Assuring the program flowed smoothly, Dr. Judy Goins welcomed all and called on members of the church leadership team to share scripture, prayer for the community, a program overview, and an overview for the “Month of Praying. Prior to providing the opening prayer, Bellefonte’s pastor, Rev. Sonya McAuley Allen thanked the leadership team and gave a personal welcome to all guests.
Program discussions incorporated 8 topics that covered dealing with life, faith, church growth and church:
God’s Word for Parents, Stewardship & Community Responsibility, Mental/Spiritual/Physical Wellness, Community Diversity, Engaging Our Youth, Bullying & Youth Conflicts, Church Growth/Decline, and Church Security, each led by professionals in the specific disciplines.
The mornings wrap up provided an opportunity for “Unity of Thoughts,” where an individual from each session shared what knowledge they gained by their attendance.
