Join us as we welcome Jada Poe as a “Teen Reporter”

Fourteen-year old Jada Poe has been a student of Charlotte-Mecklenburg schools since Kindergarten and is currently active in track & field and symphonic band at South Mecklenburg High School. An enthusiastic student and go-getter, has led to her being welcomed into the YBLA (Young Black Leadership Ambassador Program); earned the Excellence in Youth Award, presented by the Charlotte Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, and secured a summer scholarship allowing her to attend Duke University’s Young Writers’ Camp.

Concerned for the growth and betterment of her community, Jada has actively served in several community outreach programs to include: 3RIVE, Corporation Youth Development Program, WTV hungry initiative, LB Foundation, Boys & Girls Club and has volunteered her time at the local Animal Shelters.

Jada is a faithful member of The Life Center Charlotte, under the leadership of Bishop Brian D. Moore – “The place where healing begins...and is made complete!”

Jada is the daughter of Elbert Poe and Christina Wright of Charlotte, North Carolina. She lives with her mother and siblings, Jewalle and Josiah.
