Please join TCN as we thank our “Good Samaritan,” Wilbert Martin

Wilbert Martin is a dedicated employee of the North Mecklenburg Recycling Center on Statesville Road in Huntersville where The County News occasionally visits to recycle back unsold issues. Our publisher, Fran Farrer is deadly allergic to bees and cannot feel when stung and, has been hospitalized on numerous occasions.

When preparing to leave the site she saw a huge wasp in her car and was afraid to enter. She quickly hailed a worker to come to her assistance, who quickly left his duties and came to her rescue ridding the wasp from her car with a fan. In today’s world few people come to the aid of others, and The County News is thankful for Martin’s “Good Samaritan” act.
