Pastor Stevenson
Overseer Pastor Brenda Stevenson was born in Charlotte, NC to the late Mr. James Patrick Martin Sr. and the late Ms. Mary Helen Martin Colbert. She earned her wings on Wednesday, August 18, 2021, at Novant Presbyterian Hospital.

Overseer married the love of her life, Chief Apostle Norman L. Stevenson. God blessed them with 12 beautiful children.

In 1982, Chief Apostle Norman L Stevenson and Overseer Pastor Brenda Stevenson birthed a new and innovative ministry, New Outreach Christian Center. Through the years, the ministry has afforded many to discover and flourish in their gifts for the Kingdom of God. As an awesome prayer warrior and encourager, she lived by the words, "Don't Worry, Everything's Gonna Be Alright." These very words were often heard in her favorite song, "I've Got a Feeling Everything's Gonna Be Alright” and could quickly transform an individual's negative situation into a positive life changing experience.

As an outstanding community activist and philanthropist, Overseer's compassionate heart and her agility impacted the Greater Charlotte Region and more specifically the Hoskins Community. She didn't do anything by happenstance! Every intricate detail for outreach was fulfilled with much love, care, and concern It was extremely important that people in need, no matter how great or small, received high quality care and service. Her passion was to serve, and she instituted it well!

In addition to her parents, Overseer was preceded in death by her son, Ramon Stevenson; siblings James Patrick Martin Jr. of Charlotte, NC; James Patrick Martin Jr. of Eden, NC; Mary Helen Withers, Walter Colbert, Michael Colbert, and John Colbert.
