St. Marks Child Development Center knows how to “Keep Kids Kool” in the summer

St. Marks Summer Camp Kids Playing in Water

CHARLOTTE, NC – While many parents, day care locations, and other child development centers were scurrying around waiting for temperatures to drop to avoid the little dumplings placed in their care being burned by heat in excess of 100 degrees on outside toys and games, St. Marks Child Development Center’s staff was chilling!

Operating a child care development center for more than 20 years, St. Marks exceptional staff have figured out all the bugs, and how to keep their process cost effective as well.

The first thought is always the total care of each child which includes education, health, exercise, and we cannot forget fun. So how do they do it? Avoiding the heat, they take the children out to play before 10am, which gives them time for fun, exercise, fellowship, and prepares them to settle down for naps, learning and a healthy lunch.

How can they do all of that in a cost effective way? I’m glad you asked! A strong water hose and an inexpensive sprinkler! How simple can it get? But most important, the children enjoy the fellowship and fun while never thinking that the exercise is good for their health as well.

Congratulations St. Marks on being thinkers as well as educators – it’s one in the same!
