Are you interested in the legacy of the Old Campground Cemetery where the remains of history makers such as Warren C. Coleman and Rev. Frank Logan rest? If so, volunteers are needed May 6, 2017 at 8am to continue the upkeep of Concord’s Old Campground Cemetery.

This is a time to fellowship while maintaining the legacy of great on-the-ground warriors, and lunch will be provided at noon offering an opportunity to reminisce and share stories.

Those wanting to participate should bring appropriate equipment to cut the grass and clear away rocks and other debris. Remembering the cemetery includes the remains of Warren C. Coleman and his wife, as well as Rev. Frank Logan and his wife, and numerous war veterans and others who made significant contributions to the growth of Concord.

͞Given the historical legacy of this ground and the sacrifices of so many, it is important to make every effort to maintain it for future generations in Concord, North Carolina, and the nation as a whole,͟ said event promoter, Norman McCullough.
