Statesville Convention & Visitors Bureau Recruiting Board Volunteers

The Statesville Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) are seeking applicants for two openings on the commission. The nine-person commission is appointed by City Council and is responsible for supporting and promoting tourism in Statesville. The CVB meets the third Tuesday of each month.

The board is made up of individuals, representing different areas of interest in the community: three individuals who own or operate any occupancy tax paying lodging facility in the City; four individuals currently active in the promotion of travel and tourism in the City; two individuals active in the community and are City residents.

The openings are for one individual currently active in travel and tourism promotion and one individual active in community and also a City resident.

Persons interested in making application must complete and submit a volunteer form to the City Manager’s Office. The form is online at www.statesvillenc.net under “Commissions and Boards”, or can be requested by calling 704-878-3583. Completed forms can be mailed to Deputy City Clerk, City of Statesville, PO Box 1111, Statesville NC, 28687-1111, faxed to 704-878-3514 or emailed to anesbit@statesvillenc.net.

The forms are good for three years. Once it has been returned, the form will remain active for three years from the date received. Anyone who filled out a form more than three years ago should update their application by calling 704-878-3483.
